The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) revealed a list of 276 titles that are eligible for the Best Picture Oscar this year. 

The list includes a mix of theatrical releases and originals from streamers like Netflix and Prime Video. Some of them are Being the Ricardos, Belfast, Don’t Look Up, Encanto, The Harder They Fall, House of Gucci, In the Heights, King Richard, The Power of the Dog, PassingSpencer, Spider-Man: No Way HomeShang-Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings, West Side Story

French body horror thriller Titane, Japanese drama Drive My Car, and Italian drama The Hand of God have also made it to the list along with Suriya's sociopolitical drama Jai Bhim and Mohanlal's period epic Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that last year, the Academy had extended its eligibility period till February 28, 2021, owing to the pandemic. However, this time around the window was just 10 months long.

The voting for nominations will commence from January 27 through February 1. The final nominees will be announced on February 8.
