OTT releases: From Lust Stories 2 to Afwaah - top movies to binge watch this weekend

We are nearly halfway through the year. As June draws to a close, the final week of the month appears to have some interesting stuff to watch on OTT platforms. The weekend has arrived bringing in the rains and hence many of us prefer to stay inside. Therefore, binge-watching these incredible OTT releases could be the ideal way to spend your weekend in this cozy weather.

Lust Stories 2 (OTT Platform: Netflix): 

The Emmy-nominated anthology's second installment is titled Lust Stories 2. Films by an intriguing group of directors are included in the next series. The cast features the charming Neena Gupta, Kajol, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Vijay Varma, whose chemistry is already generating discussion. Apart from them, the cast also includes Angad Bedi, Kajol, Mrunal Thakur and Tilottama Shome among others. The much-awaited Lust Stories 2 is helmed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, R. Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma and Sujoy Ghosh. 

Afwaah (OTT Platform: Netflix): 

The movie directed by Sudhir Mishra, which hit theatres in May, is now coming to the OTT platform. The thriller, which stars Bhumi Pednekar, Sharib Hashmi, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, centres on the effects of a rumour, particularly in the era of intrusive social media.

Fast X (OTT Platform: Available to buy and rent on BookMyShow Stream): 

This film links to 2011's Fast Five and is the eleventh installment in the Fast & Furious series. It is a sequel to F9 and introduces a new antagonist in the form of Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa), who sets his sights on Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family. Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Brie Larson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster and Jason Mitchell are among the film's ensemble cast.

Lakadbaggha (OTT Platform: ZEE5): 

Lakadbaggha is an action thriller written by Alok Sharma and directed by Victor Mukherjee. Animal activist Arjun Bakshi learns that a unit engaged in illicit animal trade operates out of Kolkata's port. While conducting study, he also comes upon a rare species of the Indian Striped Hyena, also known as the Lakadbaggha. Now he needs to figure out how to save these animals and halt these criminal actions. Along with Eksha Kerung, Bijou Thaangjam, Adrita De, Trushant Ingle, and Harshit Dang, the movie also stars Anshuman Jha, Ridhi Dogra, Milind Soman, and Paresh Pahuja in the key roles.

Sergeant (OTT Platform: Jio Cinema): This crime drama stars Randeep Hooda as Sergeant Nikhil Sharma, a troubled UK policeman known for his independent thinking and disregard for convention. Nikhil decides to look again at the case of a girl whose body was found a year ago but whose identity has never been established while he is battling his demons. He soon finds himself in a far worse situation than he anticipated with this case.
