OTTplay Awards 2022: Harshvardhan Rane wins best actor in negative role for Haseen Dillruba, has epic moment with Kanika

Harshvardhan Rane has bagged the best actor in a negative role award at OTTplay Awards and Conclave 2022. The actor was seen in the role of a deceitful lover Neel in the film. Directed by Vinil Matthew, the film also starred Vikrant Massey and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles.

Harshvardhan received the award from presenter Shamita Shetty. He was seen flaunting a new look – braided ponytails.

The actor appreciated the South Indian celebrities in the room. He in fact thanked them for giving him an opportunity by sharing, “I actually started down South so I would like to take this lovely opportunity to thank everyone who gave me work in South. Whatever I am today, is because of all of you. Thank you so much.”

“Kanika ma’am aap jeet gaye. Unhone mujhe bola tha Harsh it’s not negative but it’s very unique. It should not look negative no matter what,” Harshvardhan said, teasing Kanika. He then went on to ask her to take his photo on stage so they have a memory to cherish and laugh over.

“This is my first award, so thank you,” Harshvardhan uttered, before leaving the stage. The actor was the second lead in the film and actually became a gamechanger in the movie.

Haseen Dillruba released on Netflix and became the most-viewed film on the OTT platform. Taapsee’s performance in the movie was equally praised. She was also recognized at the OTTplay Awards.

OTTplay Awards and Conclave 2022 took place on September 10. The awards took place from 7.30 pm in Mumbai.
