The first ever annual OTTplay Awards kicked off in style at the JW Marriott, Juhu, Mumbai, on Saturday. The star studded event saw in attendance some of the biggest stars who graced the silver screen. Maniesh Paul and Gauahar Khan took on the mantle of hosting the stellar event. Maniesh made sure to not reserve his charm just on the awards’ dais, being his delightful self on the OTTplay Awards 2022 red carpet as well.

Maniesh made sure that, as host, he wasn't left behind in downloading the OTTplay app, which gave him access to India's first OTT recommendation and content-discovery platform. After his ‘Maze Karo Multiply’ moment, Maniesh teased just what the event had in store for fans.

The host revealed that the event will be graced by Karan Johar, Vidya Balan, and some of the biggest OTT stars in the country at the moment, who helped the digital space expand to the glory it is witnessing today. “From writers to directors. Aur maze ki baath yeh hai ki sirf ek language ke nahi hain”, added Maniesh, as he went on to explain that the awards will be graced by stars from multiple language industries as well.

When teased about how he had a plethora of admirers, the actor was his humble self as he said he was happy to know that people wanted to be like him. “ Main khud, khud ki tarah banna chaah raha hoon. But chalo acchi baath hai agar koi thoda bhi inspire mujhse ho raha hain”, he said.

In addition to Maniesh, Gauahar, Vidya and Karan, this year’s OTTplay Awards and Conclave will be graced by the likes of Kriti Kulhari, Jaideep Ahlawat, Sara Ali Khan, Arya, Sidharth Malhotra, Preeti Jhangiani,Jimmy Shiergill, Kunal Kapoor, Kubbra Sait, Kartik Aaryan and many more.
