OTTplay Awards 2022: Raj and D.K. win the Best Web Series (popular) for The Family Man 2

The Family Man 2 was named the Best Web Series (popular) at the OTTplay Awards. The Amazon Prime series has had the audiences glued to their screens since Season 1. The award was presented by two stunning actresses, Divya Dutta and Anupriya, and was accepted by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK (also known as Raj & D.K.). On receiving the award, D.K. stated, "Thank you HT, thank you OTTplay for this fantastic honour and today has been a truly inclusive day I think. All languages and so many series have been here. Before I go further, Aparna Purohit Where are you? Please come here, this belongs to you, too."

Raj eventually added, "Thank you jury, and this is such a wonderful event that I didn't expect. It was lovely to see, especially our friends from Telugu, Tamil Malayalam, Kannada industries. I am surprised to see all these amazing talents from the south. Thank you HT and OTTplay for doing this amazing event. The family man is really a gift that keeps giving for us and thank you Amazon."

Aparna further added, "Thank you, I think some stories find us and I am so glad they found us with this passion project. This is truly a gift that keeps giving. Thank you so much Raj & D.K. and thank you everyone."

For his performance as Shrikant Tiwari in The Family Man 2, Manoj Bajpayee also received the Best Actor award in the web series category. In addition to Priyamani, the series also features Sharad Kelkar, Neeraj Madhav, Sharib Hashmi, Dalip Tahil, Sunny Hinduja, and Shreya Dhanwanthary. Samantha appeared in the second season of the show. The Family Man's third season is currently under production. The creators have promised that the next season will be out soon.

For those who are unfamiliar, the first OTTplay Awards and Conclave 2022 is a prestigious event from the Hindustan Times house that seeks to honour the top actors, directors, and web series from across 10 Indian languages and a variety of OTT platforms who made their debuts on streaming services the previous year. On September 10, the OTTplay Awards and Conclave 2022 were held. The awards ceremony began at 7.30 pm in Mumbai.
