OTTplay Awards 2023 pays tribute to Matthew Perry, best known as Chandler Bing from Friends – watch

The recently held OTTplay Awards 2023 has paid its tribute to Matthew Perry, who is best remembered as Chandler from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Matthew was found dead in his apartment in Los Angeles. He drowned in the bathtub in his house, according to a report on LA Times. Matthew gave many memories in the role of Chandler, who is best remembered for his humour.

The tribute

The clip began with Chandler Bing being his goofy self in front of Monica Geller. Not just that, Matthew remembering how everyone behaved after the show was over during the reunion episode, was also a part of the tribute clip. The best moments of Chandler and Joey’s friendship also made it to the small tribute clip. The bunny moment and Chandler’s embarrassing moment with Joey as well as Ross, made it to the video. The boys were the highlight of the clip and of course, it ended with an empty chair and all of us feeling like Joey, missing Chandler after he left a void. All we can say is, Matthew is ‘gone but never forgotten.’

About his demise

54-year-old Matthew was found unresponsive in a hot tub in his LA residence. He was found at 4 pm. The robbery-homicide detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating the reason behind his demise and the cause of death will be revealed on a later date. The investigation will be able to find or rule out foul play in the actor’s death.

Matthew’s death leaves the world heartbroken

People from all across the world could not believe what happened. Matthew Perry, who entertained them as Chandler Bing for as long as they remember, was no more. Celebrities or not, everyone from all across the globe paid their condolences to the actor and pointed out the irony of how he had predicted his own demise as first among the Friends. The show also starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer in the lead roles.
