Grey’s Anatomy, the fan favourite medical drama which debuted in 2005, focuses on the professional and personal struggles of a team of doctors. With nearly 384 episodes,Grey’s Anatomy is the longest-running prime time show on ABC. Here are a few facts you need to know about the Golden Globe-winning series. Stay locked. 

1. Actor Kate Walsh, who plays Dr. Addison Montgomery, stated that the show’s name changed three times before the current one was selected.

2.During the filming of surgeries, the team uses animal organs and fake blood made of red gelatin to make the scenes look realistic. This means, there is always a disgusting smell throughout the shoot when such scenes are filmed.

3. To make the surgical scenes appear more authentic, Kathy C An, a real-life surgical nurse, was cast in the role of Nurse Bokhee. She has been a part of this show for a long time, but hasn’t got a speaking part yet.

 4. The success of Grey’s Anatomy spawned two spin offs, Private Practice in 2007 and Station 19 in 2018.
