Anthologies are gradually growing on Telugu audiences. After the recently released Meet Cute, Modern Love Hyderabad and Panchatantra Kathalu, the fourth prominent Telugu anthology this year is Panchathantram. Written and directed by Harsha Pulipaka, the anthology, which hits theatres on December 9, brings together a terrific lineup of actors comprising Brahmanandam, Samuthirakani, Swathi Reddy, Shivathmika Rajasekhar, Rahul Vijay, Naresh Agastya, to name a few.
The trailer of the film was unveiled by Pushpa, Animal star Rashmika Mandanna today. The glimpse offers us a bunch of five tales that present contrasting perspectives on relationships and life. A wheelchair-bound Swathi is introduced as an RJ, who promises to tell her listeners a captivating story and is obsessed about the various characters in it. While Adarsh Balakrishna is seen alongside Swathi, Brahmanandam as Veda Vyas Murthy talks about narrating five stories based on as many senses.
Rahul Vijay and Shivathmika Rajasekhar play a lovestruck couple and soon, the former asks her out on a beach date. Shivathmika soon talks of the need for adjustments in a relationship. The focus later shifts to Uttej, a caring father looking to surprise his daughter with a gift on her birthday. Samuthirakani and Divya Vani are seen as an elderly couple with Divya Sripada playing an expectant mother. The other characters are essayed by Srividya Maharshi and Naresh Agastya.
Two songs from the film, Arere Arere and Ye Ragamo, were launched recently. Akhilesh Vardhan and Srujan Yarabolu have bankrolled the film which has cinematography by Raj K Nalli, music by Prashanth R Vihari and Shravan Bharadwaj, and is edited by Garry BH.
