John Abraham is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming thriller drama, The Diplomat. Ahead of it, the actor opened up about actors' inflated fees and 'mental' entourage costs. He added tha as an industry everyone is suffering and there are producers who are willing to pay those obscene amounts to the actors.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, John Abraham was asked to comment on 'heroes asking for Rs. 100 crore per day and their stylists' demanding Rs. 2 lakh per day.'
Calling it, 'mental,' the actor said, "It’s already hurting Hindi cinema. At this point in time, we shouldn’t be paying people to act in films because we don’t justify those huge budgets, the huge fees that we get paid. We can’t load a film with entourage costs as well. It’s ridiculous. I don’t know if actors are thinking this way or is it their agent making them think differently. As an industry, we are really suffering.”

He further added that actors should admit that they are down the deep black hole, and actors should go to the backend and work on the film.
"Actors should say that if the films make profit, we make profits because we have earned our millions. How much more will you suck the system dry? But again, you can't clap with one hand. There are producers who are willing to pay those obscene amounts as well," he added.
In the same interview, John Abraham teased a prequel about his character Jim in Shah Rukh Khan-led Pathaan.
He shared, “I think he (Adi) gets me right, and hopefully we'll be doing a prequel to Jim before he goes bitter. So that should be happening.” John also added that he wanted to do different types of movies.
Meanwhile, as per PeppingMoon, Pathaan 2 script has been finalized. It is expected to go on floors in the first half of 2026. SRK is likely to join Pathaan 2 after King's theatrical release in 2026.
