Pathaan is one of the most popular action movies starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham. The movie is considered a blockbuster. While SRK played the titular character, an Indian spy who races against time to stop a terror attack, John played the role of Jim, a ruthless antagonist. Pathaan prequel to focus on John Abraham's Jim
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, John Abraham teased a prequel about his character Jim in Pathaan. He shared, “I think he (Adi) gets me right, and hopefully we'll be doing a prequel to Jim before he goes bitter. So that should be happening.” John also added that he wanted to do different types of movies.
The actor further mentioned that he didn’t wish to act in big franchises unless he found something really ‘fantastic.’ When asked if he meant like Jim in Pathaan, John called it quite ‘cool’ and ‘special.’
John Abraham Jim to explore equation with Hrithik Roshan's Kabir?
Earlier speaking to Pinkvilla, when asked if Jim’s equation with Hrithik Roshan’s War character Kabir could be explored in the prequel, director Siddharth Anand shared, “Ya, why not? Anything can happen. It’s a universe, and you can do anything with the characters—it’s a playground. You can have a prequel to Jim… Oh wait, what if Jim is not dead? What if there’s a harness that pulls a parachute?”
Meanwhile, Pathaan is a 2023 action movie about an Indian agent who must stop a mercenary attack on India. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan, Deepika Padukone as Rubai, and John Abraham as Jim. The film is streaming on Netflix.
