Pathala Pathala single from Kamal Haasan's Vikram out

The first single Pathala Pathala from Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Vikram was released today. Taking to his social media page, Kamal Haasan shared the lyric video of the much-awaited song. The actor-producer himself has penned the lyrics for the song and crooned the peppy number, composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Anirudh revealed the same on his social media page. "Ulaganayagan @ikamalhaasan sir writes and sings #PathalaPathala 🥳🥳🥳 What a session! Thank you sir 😃😃😃 #Vikram first single from May 11th day after 🥁🥁🥁 @Dir_Lokesh ❤️❤️❤️ @RKFI (sic)."

Kamal Haasan was all praise for the composer and stated that he was living up to the family's standards of excellence. He wrote, "All the while I was thinking about what a great lineage you belong to. From your great grandfather to YOU, what abundant talents and achievements in one family. You are truly living up to your family standards of excellence. More power to you my young friend. (sic)."

In the meantime, the team is gearing up to hold a grand audio launch on May 15, at the Jawaharlal Nehru indoor stadium in Chennai. The trailer of the film will also be launched on the same occasion. Kamal Haasan has begun the promotions for the film, with the first leg being held in Mumbai.

The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, features Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Narain, Shanavi Srivatsava, Kalidas Jayaram, Shivani Narayanan, Hareesh Peradi, and Gayathrie Shankar, in pivotal roles. Vikram is bankrolled by Raaj Kamal International along with R Mahendran. The film is all set to hit screens on June 3 and the digital rights have been bagged by Disney + Hostar.

Interestingly, Vikram was also the title of a 1986 action-adventure film directed by Rajasekhar, which also starred Kamal Haasan in the lead.
