What is Petta rap all about?

Touted to be a musical actioner, the film marks the Tamil debut of S J Sinu, who is known for directing Malayalam films like Theru (2023) and Djibouti (2021). Written by Dinil PK, the film has Vedhika playing the female lead. The upcoming film’s title is inspired from Prabhu Deva’s superhit song Petta Rap from Shankar directorial romantic film Kadhalan.

Earlier a motion poster from the film was unveiled, which featured a vibrant neon look of a city that and a billboard with “Sing, action, Dance repeat” written below the title Petta Rap. From the first glance, the film hints at an action musical, full of dance songs. Jobi P Sam will be producing the film under Blue Hill Films in collaboration with Blue Hill Nael Communication.
