Katrina Kaif is gearing up to make her way onto the silver screen yet again, this time in a never before seen avatar, in Phone Bhoot. The upcoming horror comedy has fans intrigued for a number of reasons, one of them being that the film is headlined by the terrific trio of Katrina, Ishaan Khattar and Siddhant Chaturvedi. And now it seems that fans have yet another thing to look forward to in the film. It was revealed that Katrina is all set to haunt the silver screen as a ghost in the upcoming horror comedy.
Katrina will be essaying the role of a ghost for the first time in the horror comedy. The film will also mark another first for the actress, with Phone Bhoot being her first film since her marriage to husband Vicky Kaushal last year. The actress last film appearance had been in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, opposite Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff and Jaaved Jaaferi,.
The upcoming film has gotten fans excited to say the least, to see the trio grace the silver screen for the first time together. The palpable chemistry the three displayed on their recent appearance on Koffee With Karan 7 gave viewers a glimpse into the delight they can expect from the film. The episode had even become the highest rated Koffee With Karan episode this season.
Phone Bhoot is directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath. The film was bankrolled under the banner of Excel Entertainment and will be released in theatres on November 4, 2022.
Meanwhile, Katrina’s upcoming releases include Sriram Raghavan’s Merry Christmas, which also features Vijay Sethupathi, and Maneesh Sharma’s Tiger 3. The latter, which is the third instalment in the Tiger film franchise, also stars Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.
