Ponniyin Selvan 2: Abhishek Bachchan terms Aishwarya Rai's performance as her career best

Aishwarya Rai flew down to Chennai today to watch a special show of Ponniyin Selvan 2 along with her co-stars. Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Vikram Prabhu were present for the show. Karthi was not spotted with them and fans were curious about his absence.

Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya also accompanied Aishwarya to the show. A couple of pics of the stars and their families did the rounds on social media and fans were excited to watch them together. The movie is said to have grossed around 60 crores at the box office from across the globe.

Abhishek has now taken to his social media page to express his thoughts on the Mani Ratnam movie. He said that he is overwhelmed and that he is at a loss of words. The actor heaped praise on all the actors and said that he is proud of her better half.

He also added that Ponniyin Selvan 2 is by far the best performance of Aishwarya, leaving fans excited. His post read, "#PS2 is simply FANTASTIC!!! At a loss for words right now. So overwhelmed. Well done to the entire team #ManiRatnam @chiyaan @trishtrashers @actor_jayamravi @Karthi_Offl and the rest of the cast and crew. And so, so proud of the Mrs. Her best by far. #AishwaryaRaiBachchan (sic)."

Movie buffs are eager to know the milestones PS 2 is likely to achieve in the coming days. The movie is expected to outdo the collection earned by PS 1 a few months ago.
