Pooja Hegde joins Shahid Kapoor in Rosshan Andrrews' action-thriller; calls it a 'remarkable film'

Earlier this year, it was reported that Pooja Hegde had been roped in to play the female lead opposite Shahid Kapoor in Rosshan Andrrews' Bollywood directorial debut. Now, the duo has kicked off the shoot for the action flick, which coincides with Pooja's birthday. A photo from the sets has made its way to the Internet, and it features Shahid and Pooja posing with Rosshan and producer Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Meanwhile, talking about casting the Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan actor in the film, Siddharth and Zee Studios' CEO Shariq Patel said in a statement, "Bringing Pooja on board was an easy decision for us as she's extremely versatile and promising. Her on-screen chemistry with any of the actors she is paired with is widely recognised, and we are sure audiences will get to see another side of her in this film. We are very happy to have her on board."

Pooja Hegde excited to be a part of the film:

When asked about her reaction to being a part of the film, Pooja shared, "It's a very special film with such an exciting yet different storyline. Rosshan Andrrews is known for weaving magic on the big screen, and I can't wait to start this journey and for the audience to see me in such a unique and different role. I'm also looking forward to working with Shahid Kapoor; he's a stellar performer, and I'm hopeful that our collaboration will be a memorable one."

Earlier, while talking about making his way to Hindi movies, Rosshan said in a statement that he has spent the last 17 years working to perfect his craft across multiple film genres. The filmmaker likes exploring new forms for his viewers, and he has improved himself and begun using various filmmaking techniques. Rosshan had some successes and some failures, so he kept trying to go out and make new kinds of films.
