Prakash Raj dismisses rumours of Sudeep joining BJP in Karnataka: It's fake news

Actor and political activist Prakash Raj has dismissed rumours of Kannada movie star Sudeep joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Karnataka. In a tweet, Raj expressed his belief that the news was fake. "I strongly believe this is a Fake news spread by the desperate ,loosing BJP in Karnataka. @KicchaSudeep is far more sensible Citizen to fall prey," he tweeted. 

Sudeep, who has a massive following in Karnataka, is reportedly considering a foray into politics. Although the media is abuzz with rumours that he might join the BJP, no official confirmation has been made yet.

Prakash Raj is no stranger to politics himself. He has been a vocal critic of the BJP and has been actively involved in campaigning against them in the past. In 2018, he contested the Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate from the Bangalore Central constituency but was unsuccessful. He has also been a vocal advocate of social justice and has spoken out against communalism, casteism and other forms of discrimination in India.

Prakash Raj's political career began with his involvement in the anti-corruption movement led by Anna Hazare in 2011. He was also part of the protest against the assassination of journalist Gauri Lankesh in 2017. His political views and activism have often landed him in controversies. 

Meanwhile, Sudeep's alleged political plunge has been dominating the news headlines across the country. It has caused high-voltage political discussions in poll-bound Karnataka. And it has invoked mixed reactions from people on the internet. While some of his fans seem excited about Sudeep's said entry into politics, some have expressed their displeasure about the possibility. 

Sudeep is yet to react to all the speculations. It's said Kannada cinema's other superstar Darshan is also contemplating joining politics . However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited.

Earlier this week, Sudeep issued a statement on his future movies. He noted that he has zeroed in on three scripts and the announcement of his next projects will be made in the coming days.
