Premalu Box Office Day 16 - Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film collects Rs. 32 crore from Kerala

Premalu, the romantic comedy helmed by Thanneer Mathan Dinangal fame director Girish AD, has already earned blockbuster status at the box office. The movie, which features Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, has earned immense love from the audiences with its excellent making and performances. When it completed the first 16 days of its release, Premalu is now inching towards the Rs. 65 crore club of the Malayalam film industry.

As per the latest reports from trade experts, Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film has now minted a total collection of Rs. 32 crore from the Kerala box office alone. If things proceed at the same rate, Premalu will enter the Rs. 80 crore club of Malayalam cinema, within its lifetime run at the theatres.

Premalu mints Rs. 32 crore from Kerala box office

According to the recent updates from trade experts, Premalu has crossed the Rs. 32 crore mark at the Kerala box office, within the first 16 days of its release. As per the reports, the romantic comedy made a total collection of Rs. 32.81 crore, when it completed Day 16 at the theatres. The Girish AD directorial has made Rs. 2.27 crore on its Day 16, from the state. The worldwide box office collection, on the other hand, is now inching towards the Rs. 65 crore club. Interestingly, contrary to the usual trend, Premalu has performed better than its first week, on week 2 and week 3 of its release. Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film has been witnessing a major audience rush, especially across Kerala and the UAE and GCC release centers. The excellent reviews and word-of-mouth publicity have clearly helped the movie hold strong at the box office, despite clashing with the other major releases including Mammootty’s Bramayugam, and multi-starrer Manjummel Boys.

Naslen and Mamitha played the roles of Sachin and Reenu in the film, Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Althaf Salim, Mathew Thomas, and others played the supporting roles. The movie, which is jointly produced by the banners Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Bhavana Studios, is expected to have its OTT release in March 2024.
