The release date of the much-awaited trailer of Sivakarthikeyan's romantic comedy Prince has been announced. The trailer will be released tomorrow on October 9. Taking to his social media handle, Sivakarthikeyan announced the release of the trailer with a short video. In the video, we get a glimpse of his character in the film and a short speech by Sivakarthikeyan, where he says, "Thank you so much for the response for Doctor and Don. Prince is my first Deepavali release. I am really excited about it. It's a fun-filled film. There is a lot of fun and laughter in it. Above all that, a noble thought has gone into the film." The video also gives a sneak peek into many BTS portions, thus taking the excitement among fans a notch higher.

The audio launch of the film is to be held tomorrow in Chennai where the songs will be released and the trailer is expected to be released on the same occasion. Right from the morning, the makers have been creating a lot of buzz on social media about the release date, thus keeping the fans on the edge of the seat.

Prince is directed by Anudeep KV of Jathi Rathnalu fame. The film marks the debut of Ukraine model-turned-actress Maria Ryaboshapka. Prince is said to be a romantic comedy where Sivakarthikeyan's character falls in love with a foreigner in Puducherry. The makers had recently confirmed the film's release on Diwali on October 21 along with a new poster of the actor from the film.

The team had only recently announced the completion of the shoot as well along with a cake-cutting ceremony. The makers had shared the pictures of the same along with the caption, "#Prince wrapped up with a song shoot. Meet you all in theatres this Diwali (sic)." Thaman has scored the music. Cinematography is by Paramahamsa and editing is by Praveen KL.
