Director Jude Anthany Joseph’s upcoming movie based on the 2018 Kerala floods is currently in its final stages of principal photography. The movie, which has an all-star cast featuring Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Kunchacko Boban and Aparna Balamurali, is touted to be one of the biggest projects in Malayalam to go on floors after the pandemic.

This also means it befits a huge announcement too. Since November 2, actors as part of the film’s cast have been sharing a poster of Prithviraj Sukumaran and Fahadh Faasil with the message of an announcement at 6pm on November 3. While it’s still not officially confirmed if the two superstars will be announcing the title of Jude’s movie, all signs point to the same.

Especially because Jude had put out a social media message thanking producer Anto Joseph for making his dream project a reality. The filmmaker, who was set to team up with Anto for the movie 2403 FT before the pandemic, now seems to have joined hands with Kavya Films’ producer Venu Kunnappilly for his venture.

In his social media message, Jude thanked Anto for introducing him to Venu. Jude said that the latter read the script and decided to produce the film, which a lot of people didn’t want to. Close to 125 artistes have worked in the movie that was shot in 200 locations across 100 days. The director has been working on the film for over four years now.

Lal, Tanvi Ram and Guru Somasundaram are also part of the movie, which is scheduled for a theatrical release early next year. Tovino and Kunchacko Boban, who plays a land revenue department officer, had completed their portions earlier this year, while Asif, Lal and Narain’s scenes in the movie are set in Thangassery, Kollam. The movie marks Jude’s fourth directorial after Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, Oru Muthassi Gadha and Sara’s.
