Akshay Kumar has clocked in three decades in the Indian film industry, and Yash Raj Films (YRF) marked this occasion with unveiling a new poster of his upcoming film Prithviraj.

In a video shared by the production house's social media account, Prithviraj director Chandraprakash Dwivedi can be seen taking Akshay towards the poster. He then tells him that this poster celebrates the years of hard work the actor has put in.

The video goes further up close to the image which is made up of all the posters from Akshay's career so far. The actor remarks that he hadn't even realised that he had completed 30 years in the industry.

He then thanks YRF boss Aditya Chopra for this gesture and recalls that Saughandh (1991) was his first movie ever released.

Here is the video:

Coincidentally, Prithviraj is among the many promising titles that YRF is releasing to mark 50 years of its founding. Other projects include Jayeshbhaai Jordaar and Pathaan, which will see Shah Rukh Khan back on screen after 2018's Zero

Prithviraj marks Akshay's fourth collaboration with YRF after Yeh Dillagi (1994), a cameo in Dil Toh Pagal Hai (1994), and Tashan (2008).

The period drama will see the actor as the real-life figure Prithviraj Chauhan, whose bravery and conquests have been told on-screen multiple times before. Joining him is Sanjay Dutt as Kaka Kanha, Sonu Sood as Chand Vardai, and Manushi Chillar as Sanyogita.

Prithviraj releases in cinemas on June 3.
