Actor and producer Vijay Babu clarified that a movie's wide release contributes to its ability to reach its intended audience across the country and draw a larger audience to theatres. In this manner, he continued, the OTT platforms will also be prepared to accept these films for online streaming, sparing the filmmakers and producers a great deal of loss.
The actor clarified this by using his most recent movie, Valatty, as an example. "The positive reception the movie received in other states made it easier for me to get a digital platform to stream it. The filmmakers can benefit from extensive distribution in this way, he said.
At the press conference, he was speaking about the partnership between Friday Film House, his production company, and KRG Studios. Vijay added that this partnership will assist a number of films in receiving the national exposure they merit, regardless of their budget.
He continued by saying that the box office success of the films that were released in February shows how Malayalam cinema has benefited from this kind of distribution. "Every one of these films has fantastic content. He went on, "In the interim, they managed to attract a larger audience to theatres outside of Kerala."

Regarding the significance of film reviews, Vijay said that while constructive criticism is acceptable, it has become more common to completely discredit works and to make derogatory remarks about actors. “However, there are other factors that could hinder a movie's success besides negative reviews. Makers ought to be able to provide engaging material for viewers,” he stated.
The producer also emphasised that a person's opinion is their own and that they may like or dislike a film for a number of reasons. Nonetheless, critical feedback enables filmmakers to improve their work and comprehend what audiences find appealing.
