Projapoti: When Ambarish Bhattacharya receives compliments from Mithun Chakraborty

Mithun Chakraborty, Dev and Mamata Shankar-starrer Projapoti’s shooting has already started. The first schedule is taking place at a private house in Salt Lake. Besides bringing Mithun and Mamata Shankar back together on screen after more than four decades, the film also features Koneenica Banerjee as Mithun’s daughter and Ambarish Bhattacharya as her husband.

In an interview with Anandabazar, the actor shared his experience of working with Mithun. The actor said that not only did Mithun appreciate his acting but also shared lighter moments with the other actors. On set, Mithun gives Ambarish diet advice to lose weight. He asks him not to consume mutton. Instead, he asks him to drink tamarind water in the morning. As per the script, Mithun insists Ambarish be in shape.

Meanwhile, Ambarish asked Mithun if he would follow any diet chart. To this, the veteran actor replied that he used to eat like a foodie and then used to dance in the morning. As a result, he never put on weight. However, now his diet is restricted to fruits and sandwiches.

Ambarish also revealed that Mithun complimented him for his acting skill. He has also praised Kharaj Mukhopadhyay. He also revealed that they are having a good time on the sets. “He was very pleased to know that I am from North Kolkata,” said Ambarish. However, Ambarish admitted that he deliberately avoided discussing politics with Mithun since both of them belong to diametrically opposite points of view. There were interesting discussions on love and relationships that Ambarish refused to reveal.

Ambarish has recently worked with Amitabh Bachchan in a commercial. He explained that the two superstars are very different from each other. While Amitabh maintains a gravitas, Mithun appears to be an affectionate brother from the neighbourhood. “Also, since he is from North Kolkata, he has that vibe,” said Ambarish.
