Project K first glimpse: An opportunity for Nag Ashwin, Prabhas to set the record straight

Project K, directed by Nag Ashwin, the man behind films like Mahanati and Yevade Subrahmanyam, is undoubtedly one of the most awaited releases in 2024. Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Saswata Chatterjee play the lead roles in the film produced by Aswani Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies on a budget of over Rs 500 crores.

The first look of actors Prabhas and Deepika were out this week and the cast, crew flew to US this week to make its presence at Comic Con. Prabhas first look met with disastrous responses from fans and critics and it was not the standard one would expect, given the hype and the anticipation around the film. The first glimpse, to be launched tomorrow, is an opportunity to set the record straight.

“We can’t wait to witness greatness unfold! #ProjectK First Glimpse will be out between 1 PM to 2 PM (PST) / 1:30 AM to 2:30 AM (IST),” the makers confirmed the launch time as well some time ago. Prabhas fans, much like Salaar, would be waiting for it with bated breath and a hope that it could help them overcome their recent disappointment with Project K looks and Prabhas’ recent films.

Many haven’t still written off Project K yet because of the trust they have in a filmmaker like Nag Ashwin, who is not expected to compromise with the storytelling and technique of his films. This is extremely crucial for the team because it’ll decide how well can the makers sustain the enthusiasm of movie buffs for several months leading to the release.

Santhosh Narayanan scores the music for the film while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor. Djordje Stojiljkovic is the cinematographer for the same and Burra Sai Madhav writes the dialogues. Prabhas is also awaiting the release of Salaar, Maruthi’s horror comedy in the coming months.
