A few minutes ago, Hombale Films released the teasers of two of its upcoming films. First came Kantara, director-actor Rishab Shetty’s next, and a minute later there was Santhosh Ananddram’s Raghavendra Stores, which has Navarasa Nayaka Jaggesh in the lead. Both teasers will now be attached to the production house’s release KGF: Chapter 2, which releases on April 14.

Santhosh’s film is a comedy in typical Jaggesh style. The teaser, which is a character introduction for Jaggesh’s Hayavadana, has him playing a cook, with great culinary skills, and yet remains unmarried in his 40s, something his co-workers rib him about. It almost feels like Jaggesh's version of 40-Year-Old Virgin.

When Raghavendra Stores was announced, the team had said that it would be comedy that will leave audiences in splits and that it was being made for audiences across all age groups. The dialogues in the teaser though have double entendre, so it may not be for all, after all.

Although Shwetha Srivatsa is part of the film, she does not find space in the teaser that was released today. Raghavendra Stores, which has a tagline, ‘From 1972’, is the Navarasa Nayaka’s first-ever collaboration with Santhosh and Hombale Films. The actor has been quoted as saying, “The script of Raghavendra Stores mirrors family issues in society. We shot the film at 25 locations, and every place has an important role.”

The team had earlier announced that shooting had been wrapped up, so Raghavendra Stores will likely be the next release from the Hombale Films stable after KGF: Chapter 2, followed by Kantara. Jaggesh, meanwhile, is also looking forward to the release of Ranganayaka, which reunites him with Edelu Manjunatha maker Guruprasad.
