The song, composed by Chandan Shetty, will be choreographed by Imran Sardhariya.
Ragini Dwivedi has a long-standing association with veteran filmmaker K Manju, having worked together in films like Shankar IPS (2010), Kalla Malla Sulla (2011) and Ragini IPS (2014). In fact, Ragini IPS was her first solo film, which then heralded a phase in which the actress did a few such heroine-centric films. So, it comes as no surprise that Ragini jumped at the opportunity to be a part of a film that K Manju is associated with.
Manju is presenting his son Shreyas’ new film Raana, which is being directed by Nanda Kishore. Shreyas is paired with Reeshma Nanaiah in the film, which is almost complete, but for a few songs. One of these songs, we hear, is a special number that will feature Shreyas with Ragini. To be choreographed by Imran Sardhariya, who has worked with Ragini on the hit number Thupa Beka Thupa, the song has been composed by rapper Chandan Shetty and is supposed to be an energetic dance number. Raana is Chandan’s latest collaboration with filmmaker Nanda Kishore, after their last outing Pogaru, the songs of which continue to make waves on charts.
For Nanda and Ragini, Raana marks a third combination, as the actress has done special numbers like Yakka Nin Magalu in the Sharan-starrer Victory, and Item Song Aagbeku Ban in Pradeep Bogadi’s film Tiger. The new song has been written by Shivu Byregi, who has to his credit the hit song Chuttu Chuttu from Sharan’s Rambo 2.
According to the team, the song will be shot at a set that is being erected in Bengaluru. Shreyas, who debuted with the Guru Deshpande directorial Paddehuli, is awaiting the release of his next, Vishnu Priya, in which he is paired with Priya Varrier. Raana is his third outing as actor and first with Nanda Kishore.
