Superstar Rajinikanth and producer Sajid Nadiadwala recently joined forces for a project. While the details of the project are not revealed yet, their collaboration news created a stir online. Ever since, people have been wondering about the film they will be working on. However, there's no concrete information on the same. Amid this, Bollywood Hungama has reported that producer Sajid has bagged the rights for Rajinikanth's biopic, which will cover his journey from being a bus conductor to a superstar.
The media report suggests Sajid Nadiadwala has signed a contract with superstar Rajinikanth to procure the rights of his biopic.
"Very few know that Sajid Nadiadwala is a big fan of not just Rajinikanth the actor, but also Rajinikanth the person. He believes that Rajinikanth’s story deserves to be seen by the world – from a bus conductor to a superstar. Sajid is personally looking into the script and working towards getting the film to the spectacle," a source told the entertainment portal.
The idea is to make a film that stands the test of time. It is reportedly a great rags-to-riches story and will focus more on the human that Rajinikanth is.
Earlier, Sajid Nadiadwala expressed his happiness over collaborating with Rajinikanth. Sharing a picture with a superstar on X, the official handle of Nadiadwala Grandsons mentioned, "It's a true honour to collaborate with the legendary rajinikanth. Sir! Anticipation mounts as we prepare to embark on this unforgettable journey together! (sic)."
The Rajinikanth biopic will reportedly go on floors in 2025. The star cast of the film will be fianlised once the script of the movie is ready. As of now, the status of the superstar's biopic is 'work in progress'.
Meanwhile, neither Sajid Nadiadwala nor Rajinikanth have confirmed this news yet. An official statement from the two is awaited. On the work front, the superstar was last seen in Lal Salaam, which was directed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth
