Anubhav Sinha has announced his forthcoming directorial and it's titled Bheed. The ace filmmaker is uniting with Rajkummar Rao for the movie which is being co-produced by Bhushan Kumar of T Series. The makers revealed that Bheed is set to be a socio-political drama and marks Sinha's next directorial after Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Anek which is currently in the post-production stage. 

Talking about the film, the Ra.One helmer said in a statement, "Bheed is one of those titles that the whole team jumps at the moment you propose it. To me, casting was crucial. Raj is a very intriguing actor."

Sinha further praised Rajkummar by saying that he is one of the very few actors who can be so successfully transparent in a story. The filmmaker revealed that there always was a keen desire to work with him and he is looking forward to it. 

While talking about Bhushan, Anubhav said, "I am honoured to have a solid collaborator like Bhushan on my side who is such a strong pillar and a sturdy sounding board."

Whereas Rajkummar is thrilled to be working with Anubhav Sinha. He said it's a matter of great honour and privilege to collaborate with a filmmaker who has such a distinct voice. 

About Bheed, the National Award-winning actor said, "I have always found myself gravitating towards stories that trigger conversation. Even as an entertainer, I want my work to get people thinking."

Calling it an important subject, Rajkummar said the character needs him to stretch him as an artist and beyond his comfort zone. The actor can’t wait to start shooting and lose himself in this universe of Bheed

Meanwhile, Rajkummar is currently gearing up for the release of Hum Do Hamare Do which is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from October 29, 2021.
