Raksha Bandhan: Akshay Kumar unveils the trailer release date with a special poster - see photo

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer is all set to hit cinemas on August 11. After unveiling a motion poster of Raksha Bandhan, the Bollywood star has now revealed the trailer's release date today. 

Today, in an Instagram post, Akshay announced that the trailer of Raksha Bandhan will be released on June 21. The post featured a new poster of the upcoming movie along with a special message that reads, "बहनें जान हैं…sisters and brothers are bound together with an unbreakable bond of love! Here’s our attempt at a glimpse into their world! #RakshaBandhanTrailer releasing on 21st June 2022. (Sic)."

On Thursday, the actor revealed that the release date of his film is going to be August 11. Akshay shared this news with his fans with a special motion poster on IG. The post reads, "Bringing you all a story of the purest form of bond that will remind you of yours! #RakshaBandhan releasing in cinemas on 11th August, 2022. #ReturnToFeelings #RakshaBandhan11August (sic)."

Even though fans are thrilled to learn the big news, August 11 is now confirmed to have a big clash in Bollywood this year with the release of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha on the same day.

Last year, the highly anticipated Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' Forest Gump was slated to release in April 2022, while earlier this year in February, the makers decided to delay the release due to technical issues. 

On the other hand, Akshay and Bhumi's film has been directed by Aanand L Rai, while Himesh Reshammiya has served as the music director.

Raksha Bandhan also features Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth in key roles.
