Gandhada Gudi, for myriad reasons, is a very special project for all moviegoers. On one hand, the film marks Puneeth Rajkumar's final on-screen appearance on screen and his many million fans are keenly looking forward to bidding him a grand adieu on the big screen. On the other hand, Gandhada Gudi is a one-of-a-kind venture as it sees an actor of Puneeth's stature shedding his superstar image for the sake of a documentary.

Actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty, who was present at the recently held Puneeth Parva event, alluded to the fact that while Gandhada Gudi, as a film, traverses the natural beauty of Karnataka, it also has every capacity to mark the beginning of a new kind of cinema in India.

"Pratheek Shetty, who has shot and edited Gandhada Gudi, has also worked on 777 Charlie as an editor so I am aware of how good the visuals of the film are. It certainly doesn't look like any run-of-the-mill documentary and boasts of the highest standards in filmmaking. I am eagerly looking forward to watching the film on the big screen. And I feel that it will help mark the beginning of a new kind of cinema for the Indian audience because you have a superstar like Appu sir at the heart of it," said Rakshit Shetty at the event.

Rakshit would go on to share some of his most memorable encounters with the late actor and how, despite being a superstar, he endeared many with his humility. "There are certain gestures that you can expect only from Appu sir," he said.

The Puneeth Parva event saw many superstars of south Indian cinema convene to celebrate the Powerstar's legacy. The likes of Yash, Rakshit Shetty, Ramesh Aravind, Dhruva Sarja, Daali Dhananjaya, and a few others represented the Kannada Film Industry with Tamil actors Suriya, Siddharth, Kamal Haasan, and others joined in on the celebrations. The evening also saw many musicians and singers add to the joy while a massive crowd, along with Puneeth Rajkumar's family, soaking up the alluring energy of the event.
