Multiple releases for stars are not commonplace in Telugu cinema, especially given the scale and the effort with which high-profile projects are made in the industry. At a time when most stars are content with a solo release annually, Ram Charan's fans are in for a feast. He'll not be seen in one but three films in a year's span (i.e. the next 365 days)
He's set to share screen space with his father, star Chiranjeevi in the action drama Acharya, for a full-length role. Though Ram Charan's character Siddha was planned as a special appearance in the film initially, the scope of the role expanded over the shoot. Pooja Hegde too was brought on board as on-screen pair for the same reason to give an arc to the character and his journey. Acharya is set to hit theatres on April 1 this year.
Ram Charan is also busy shooting for filmmaker Shankar's first Telugu project, a political drama where he's cast as an IAS officer. Kiara Advani reunites with the actor for the second time as his on-screen pair after Vinaya Vidheya Rama. Made at a staggering budget, the film produced by Dil Raju was in the news recently for ZEE's acquisition of its non-theatrical rights for over Rs 200 crore. The untitled project is set to hit theatres for Sankranthi 2023.
Meanwhile, it's well known that RRR has a couple of release dates in contention - March 18 and April 28 and the makers, DVV Entertainment will decide on the same accordingly depending upon the COVID-19 scenario. Hence, the next 365 days, the actor's fans are sure to have a triple treat. The star is also teaming up with Jersey director Gowtam Tinnanuri for a film bankrolled by UV Creations.
