Ravi Teja, whose last release Khiladi opened to a moderate response at the theatres, would be keen on returning to form with his next release, Ramarao on Duty, an action entertainer written and directed by Sarath Mandava. Divyasha Kaushik and Rajisha Vijayan play the female leads in the action saga that also marks the comeback of Chirunavvutho, Swayamvaram actor Venu Thottempudi in Telugu cinema after a long sabbatical. Sudhakar Cherukuri has produced the film under SLV Cinemas in collaboration with RT Teamworks.
The first number from Ramarao on Duty, Bulbul Tarang, a beautiful melody sung by Sid Sriram, featuring Ravi Teja and Ravisha Vijayan, filmed in a location in Spain, received a terrific response from movie buffs a few weeks ago. The makers today announced the launch date of the second single from the film, Sottala Buggallo. A foot-tapping number, Sottala Buggallo will be launched on May 7.
While announcing the second single launch, the Ramarao on Duty team released a special poster commemorating Eid. In the poster, Ravi Teja is seen walking in front of a mosque towards his ambassador car. The star, at his charismatic best, even sports shades. “Eid Mubarak,” reads the poster. Nasser, Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh, ‘Sarpatta’ John Vijay, Chaitanya Krishna, Tanikella Bharani, Rahul Rama Krishna, Eerojullo Sree, Madhu Sudan Rao and Surekha Vani also play important roles in the film.
Based on true incidents, Ramarao on Duty is cinematographed by Sathyan Sooryan ISC, while Praveen KL is the editor and Sahi Suresh is the art director respectively. The commercial potboiler will hit theatres on June 17, a week after Nani's heartfelt rom-com Ante Sundariniki. SonyLIV has acquired the post theatrical streaming rights of Ramarao on Duty. Ravi Teja is expected to have his third release in the year, in the form of Ravanasura, in the latter half of 2022.
