Ramayana: Ravi Dubey calls Ranbir Kapoor ‘incredibly kind’; says, ‘He is like an elder brother’

One of the most anticipated movies in the country right now is Ramayana: Part 1, the first installment of a two-film franchise being developed by master filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari. This magnum opus stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, and Yash as Ravana. The film's shooting has been ongoing for a while, with several behind-the-scenes stills surfacing online. Actor Ravi Dubey, who plays Laxman, recently shared his experience of working on the film and his equation with Ranbir Kapoor.

Even before its release, Ramayana is shaping up to be an epic, given its grand scale. Ravi Dubey, when asked about playing Laxman alongside Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram, described Kapoor as one of the kindest and most humble individuals he has met. He also spoke about the privilege of working with Nitesh Tiwari, calling it a dream come true.

As per Pinkvilla, Dubey said, "Ranbir is incredibly kind—one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. He is warm and welcoming. We were just discussing humility earlier. When someone attains massive success, especially sudden success, they gain immense credibility and the freedom to carry themselves in a certain way—something many actors embrace."

He added, "But Ranbir Bhai is different. His humility, kindness towards everyone, quiet nature, dedication to his craft, and meticulous preparation behind the scenes are truly incredible. To me, he is like an elder brother, and I deeply respect and admire him."

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and written by Namit Malhotra with Shridhar Raghavan, Ramayana features an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Rakul Preet Singh, Lara Dutta, Sunny Deol, Sheeba Chaddha, Ravi Dubey, and Arun Govil.

The most exciting recent development is the rumor that legendary composer Hans Zimmer (Dune, Dunkirk, The Dark Knight) is in talks to compose the score alongside A.R. Rahman. Reports suggest Zimmer is intrigued by Nitesh Tiwari’s vision and is actively considering the collaboration.

Meanwhile, the film has already begun production at Mumbai's Film City, where grand sets have been erected. Recently, leaked images of Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, and Sheeba Chaddha from the sets surfaced online.
