Ranbir Kapoor will portray a never-seen-before avatar in his upcoming film, Animal. This film marks Ranbir's first collaboration with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. So far, the songs and teaser of Animal have left the audience impressed. And tomorrow (November 23), the film's trailer will release. Ahead of that, Ranbir spilled the beans about his character in Animal.

The actor admitted that his character in Sandeep's film does possess 'some of the traits' typically associated with Vanga's protagonists.

Ranbir Kapoor on his character in Animal

In an interview with Variety, Ranbir was asked if his character in Animal is tough and uncompromising.

To this, the actor said, "He is indeed tough and uncompromising in certain aspects. However, what sets him apart is the layers of complexity and depth that have been woven into his character. While he may exhibit strength and determination, there are also moments of vulnerability and internal conflict that make him more relatable and human. This adds a unique dimension to the character and allows for a more nuanced portrayal."

"So, while my character in Animal shares some similarities with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s previous protagonists, there are also distinct differences that make him stand out in his own right," Kapoor summed up his character in a few lines.

About Animal

Helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 1, 2023. It will clash with Vicky Kaushal's Sam Bahadur at the box office.
