Ranbir Kapoor fans are gearing up to welcome the actor onto the big screen yet again in Shamshera. Although the actor has made a name for himself with his versatile onscreen roles, his personal life has been dragged into the public eye on more than one occasion. For instance, after his relationship with Deepika Padukone came to an end, a plethora of criticism was targeted at the actor for allegedly cheating on the actress. But Ranbir does not let the judgement have an effect on his life it seems.
In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the actor said that he did not mind when people took him for granted or tried to ‘take him for a ride’. Talking about how grateful he is for his life, family and work, Ranbir spoke of how people could say anything good or bad about him. What ultimately mattered was that people liked the films he did. Otherwise, he was not bothered by the bad things people said about him . “It doesn’t boil my blood”, said Ranbir.
The actor revealed that he was aware of some of the things said about him, talking about how he had become known as a ‘casanova’ and a ‘poster boy’ of a cheater as well. Ranbir spoke of how people had branded him that as they had heard another person’s perspective and point of view, but not his own. The actor added that people might never get to hear his perspective, and that was absolutely fine. Ranbir said that the most important thing for him was being an actor, and that was what he was going to do, adding that he did not want to do anything else in his life.
Ranbir will share the screen with Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in Shamshera. The Karan Malhotra directorial will hit theaters on July 22.
