Ranbir Kapoor to portray Sourav Ganguly in his biopic? Former cricketer spills the beans

The biography will be produced by Luv Ranjan, who is eagerly anticipating the release of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which stars Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. On his movie, Sourav Ganguly has provided new information.

The renowned cricketer recently disclosed that work on his movie is underway. He is currently in Mumbai making the agreement official. The fact that Ganguly is writing the script himself was also revealed. According to News18, Sourav said, "I will be in Mumbai for several works. There are discussions regarding the script of the biopic. I am writing the script myself. The screenplay will be discussed with Luv Production House. For several months, the work of making the biopic did not progress much. In fact, due to my and the production house’s tight schedule, the work was not picking up pace. This time, it will be done quickly."

The lead actor for the biopic has yet not been revealed by the film's makers. However, earlier reports suggested that Ranbir would play Sourav. The former Indian skipper had already stated that he would recommend Ranbir for the biopic role. When questioned about the leading man, he revealed, "No final decision has been taken. I hope we can share something positive after the meeting."

When asked about the release date, he stated that nothing had been decided upon yet. The script is being worked on.
