Ranveer Singh reveals new release date for YRF's Jayeshbhai Jordaar; watch video announcement

Ranveer Singh, in a video announcement today, revealed the new release date, May 13, for his film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. 

In the video, Singh tells the audience that they have seen a milieu of heroes on screen, but not someone like Jayeshbhai whose "herogiri" is never-before-seen.

In a statement released by YRF, the actor said, "Jayesh is not your typical larger than life hero but what he does in the course of the story is heroic. And that is something I was attracted to. He evolves into a hero and what he pulls off is remarkable and truly super. He is a superhero of a very unconventional type."

Jayeshbhai Jordaar, written and directed by debutante filmmaker Divyang Thakkar, marks Singh's reunion with his Band Bajaa Baraat director Maneesh Sharma, who serves as producer. The film is also the debut of Arjun Reddy actor Shalini Pandey. 

The statement adds that is for a pan-Indian audience across age groups and will "touch hearts" with its "inspiring story."

Jayeshbhai Jordaar faced multiple release delays owing to the uncertainty caused by the pandemic. It was last slated to be out on February 25 this year.
