Ranveer Singh reveals the hilarious reaction people had to his, Vicky Kaushal’s respective marriages

Ranveer Singh has made a name for himself as one of those celebrities who lights up every room he’s in. On more than one occasion, the actor has proved himself to have quite a way with words off screen as well. Recently, Ranveer charmed his way into fans’ hearts yet again when he revealed that people had a hilarious reaction to his and Vicky Kaushal’s respective marriages.

Ranveer had tied the knot with Deepika Padukone back in 2018, while Vicky married Katrina Kaif last year. At this year’s Filmfare Awards ceremony, as reported by Hindustan Times, Ranveer spoke of the similarities between him and Vicky. Referring to them both as ‘Mama’s boys’, Ranveer spoke of how they were supposed to play brothers in Karan Johar’s film Takt. “After all, we both are tall, dark and handsome”, he cheekily added. Takt, however, had ended up being shelved by the makers for a number of reasons, one of them being the difficulties brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

He went on to speak of how the duo were currently living their ‘fairytale’ lives, after their weddings. But people seem to have a chuckle-worthy reaction to their marriages to the actresses. “People tell us 'woh dono(Deepika and Katrina) humare aukaat se bahar hai”, said Ranveer.

Ranveer also made sure to shine a spotlight on yet another beloved Bollywood couple- Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The Brahmastra couple had tied the knot back in April this year, and Ranveer spoke of how the ceremony was a ‘small, intimate and cosy’ affair. The actor went on to hilariously add that the couple definitely saved a lot of money on the food. Ranveer added that the wedding left even his Sindhi dad impressed.

Both Ranveer and Vicky had bagged accolades at the ceremony. While Ranveer won the Best Actor award for his performance in 83, Vicky won the Critics Award for Best Actor for his performance in Sardar Udham.
