We had earlier reported that actor Rashmika Mandanna will be pairing up with Dhanush for a Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled Kubera. The makers on Friday released a glimpse of Rashmika’s character from the film.
The acclaimed national award-winning filmmaker Sekhar Kammula is set to enthral the audience once again with a film titled Kubera. Starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna Akkineni as well, the makers released the character glimpse of Rashmika Mandanna who will be playing the leading lady in the film.

In the character introduction glimpse, she is seen in an unusual, different avatar generating a huge buzz. We see Rashmika in a forest like place, trying to dig out something from the ground. After some efforts, and sporting a glee on her face, she picks up a large suitcase loaded with cash, as she rushes from the scene with it. The glimpse leads to further mystery surrounding the film. The title Kubera refers to deity representing money. With the glimpse also talking about money, it looks like Kubera will revolve around the same concept.
Sekhar Kummala’s Kubera will also feature Hindi actor Jim Sarbh will be seen in another prominent role. The makers have remained tight-lipped about the plot. The film is jointly produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd banner.
Kubera is being shot simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. The shoot of the movie is presently taking place in Hyderabad. A release date for the film is yet to be mentioned by the team. The music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad with camera cranked by Niketh Bommi. The editor of the film is Karthika Srinivas.
Meanwhile, Dhanush’s next film is Raayan, which is scheduled to release on July 26. The actor has also directed the film. It stars Dushara Vijayan, SJ Suryah, Kalidas Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and others.
