Actress Richa Chadha is all set to star in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s upcoming series, titled “Six Suspects”. She says the murder mystery will have her playing the complex character of an investigating officer who carves a niche for herself in a male-dominated society. The Disney+Hotstar series, which will have her share screen space with Pratik Gandhi, is an adaptation of Vika Swarup’s 2008 novel of the same name. The show will be jointly produced by Ajay Devgn Films and Reel Life Entertainment.

Chadha, who is popular for her films like Masaan and Fukery, made her digital debut with Inside Edge in 2017. She said the show has offered her an opportunity again to work with Dhulia, who was her co-star in Gangs of Wasseypur.

“My character in Six Suspects is extremely layered and complex. She is an upright investigating officer who tries to make a mark in the male-dominated investigation space. I have been wanting to work under Tigmanshu Dhulia’s direction since Paan Singh Tomar,'' said the actress in a virtual event organised by Disney+Hotstar, where the OTT platform announced its upcoming films and original series.

Six Suspects is going to be the first on-screen collaboration of Chadha and Pratik Gandhi. “I am blessed to find these amazing characters on OTT. Films have the pressure of box office, but here, content rules supreme and we get to discover hidden gems like Pratik. I am really happy we are working together. There are stories you can’t imagine doing for movies, but we are able to share many such stories on OTT avenues. It is a great time to celebrate talent,” she further added.
