Marimuthu, who has played several memorable roles in his career that spans two decades, passed away today morning while dubbing for the television serial Ethir Nechal which fetched him a lot of recognition. The popular character actor was last seen in Rajinikanth's Jailer which was dropped on Amazon Prime yesterday.
His significant role in the action drama brought the house down in a crucial scene during his conversation with Vinayakan. He gained a lot of fans in recent times owing to the success of the character he essayed in Ethir Neechal.
Kollywood celebs pour in condolences
The Tamil film industry is shocked to hear the news of the actor's untimely demise. They have been taking to social media to express condolences for their favourite actor's death. Prasanna, who played the lead role in Marimuthu's directorial debut Kannum Kannum, said that they shared a bond like brothers and that he should have been there for a while longer.
Radhika Sarathkumar paid condolences to his family and said that she was sad and shocked to hear the news of his passing away. A dejected Shanthnu tweeted that of late he has been following a lot of the actor's work, and the news is disheartening. Nelson Dilipkumar, Arun Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi and Sasikumar are a few others from Kollywood who expressed condolences on Twitter.
