The story of the film transpires in the 80s, and is set against the backdrop of a prison and a train. To be shot in locations across Shivamogga, Dharwad and Hyderabad, the film has Praddyottan on board for the music and Balakrishna Thota for cinematography. The filmmaker had also announced that Shruti, Achyuth Kumar, and Suddhi had also been signed up for the film.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the filmmaker had finalized the leading lady too and, as it turns out, he’s decided to get back the hit pair of Vinod Prabhakar and Sonal Monteiro, who were together in the Darshan-starrer Roberrt. Sonal, on the other hand, is gearing up for the pan-India release of Banaras, the Jayatheertha directorial that will mark the debut of Zaid Khan, the son of politician Zameer Ahmed Khan. The actress has also wound up her portions in the Yogaraj Bhat directorial Garadi, which has Yashas Surya in the lead. She had earlier worked with the filmmaker on Panchatantra. A third film that Sonal is excited about is a Hindi biopic on Sarojini Naidu, in which she plays the younger version of the Nightingale of India.
