When you think or talk about some well known and much loved Indian scientists, the list remains incomplete without a mention of Dr. Homi Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. Now that Sony LIV is here to present their story on OTT through Rocket Boys, the netizens are in awe of the content from the trailer itself and rightly so. They also got a glimpse of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam which has caught the attention of many who have seen the trailer.
Most of the netizens are happy with the fact that Jim Sarbh is playing the role of Dr. Homi Bhabha. Jim, who is also a Parsi like Dr. Bhabha, fits into the role like a hand in a glove. Through the trailer, he promises to be a fun character, one that Dr. Bhabha was in real life too. Not just fun, Jim has also managed to bring out the serious side of the scientist, which is also loved by the netizens.
However, what these digital users are most excited about is the fact that makers have finally realized that Dr. Bhabha and Dr. Sarabhai deserve a story. “Have read a lot of things about them. I can’t wait for this web series,” a user wrote.

The former President, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s story is also going to be told in the web series, even if briefly. That is also something that has got the netizens excited.

Rocket Boys, like the name suggests, will focus on how Dr. Bhabha and Dr. Sarabhai came together to focus on building a rocket from the scratch. It will also show their falling out while working on the project, everything that happened then and after that.
It is widely known that Dr. Bhabha researched on creating atoms, which were the country’s requirement at that given point in time. Meanwhile, Dr. Sarabhai continued his research and developed what is now known as ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). He also collaborated with Dr. Abdul Kalam.
Interestingly, Dr. Kalam’s work was more of a reflection of Dr. Bhabha than Dr. Sarabhai. Afterall, the former Indian president is known as the ‘missile man’ of the nation.
