Mammootty was recently in the limelight of Malayalam cinema following the release of the psychological drama thriller, Puzhu. The makers of his upcoming movie Rorshach had released its first look a few weeks back, which also caught the eyes of the fans. We now get to see how the intriguing poster came to life, in a BTS video shared from the photo shoot.

The video was released by the makers and Mammootty took to Instagram to share it with his fans. The video has a tone of ambiguity around it, much like the first look poster, which revealed next to nothing, but was intriguing at the same time. The short clip also shared that the movie is still in production.

Directed by Nissam Basheer, the movie is written by Sameer Abdul who has previously penned Adventures of Omanakuttan and Ibilis. The movie is touted to be a psychological thriller that is said to have a unique concept.

Its title is said to be a reference to the Rorschach test, a psychological test that makes use of inkblot patterns. The movie is backed by Mammootty’s production house, Mammootty Kompany.

While Mammootty takes the lead in this thriller, it also features Sharafudheen, Grace Antony, Bindu Panicker, Jagadish and Kottayam Nazir in supporting roles. While there has been no official confirmation yet, the makers are looking to release the movie during Onam.

Mammootty has had a good year so far, with Bheeshma Parvam and CBI 5: The Brain doing well in theatres. While the former saw the actor reunite with Amal Neerad after Big B, the latter saw him reprise his iconic role as Sethurama Iyer.

The actor’s recent film Puzhu, which was his first direct-to-OTT release, also received great reviews from the critics. The film is available on SonyLIV.
