RRR actor Edward Sonnenblick calls Rajamouli a ‘perfectionist’

S.S. Rajamouli’s latest outing, RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR has done very well since its release. Edward Sonnenblick, who plays one of the bad guys in the movie, has caught the fans’ eyes. The actor has now called Rajamouli a perfectionist. 

Talking to Mid-Day, the actor said, “It was exciting working with the Baahubali team. Working with Rajamouli sir is exciting, he is a perfectionist. He’s warm and sweet but he will make you do 20 takes, till he’s satisfied. That’s just how it is and everybody expects that.”

The actor added that he would have been nervous about it if it was any other production, but even the stars have to do a lot of takes for Rajamouli. The filming takes hours and that's what makes his films amazing, he said. 

In a recent interview with OTTPlay the actor spoke about his love fo r Indian cinema: “Before I came to India, I was obsessed with a lot of 60s-70s Bollywood movies and I just loved the vibe in those films. I did have this very idealised, dreamy perception of Bollywood and at the same time, I knew the reality was going to be different.”

Written and directed by Rajamouli, RRR is a period action drama that stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR as Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem respectively. The movie, which was released around the world in multiple languages, has been breaking box office records each day. 

The movie also stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, and Olivia Morris among others.
