In a report titled ‘If I Had an Oscars Ballot 2023: ‘RRR’ for Best Picture and More Nomination Wishes’ written by its reporter, Jr NTR has found a place amidst ‘honorable mentions’ among a list of 10 predictions he has made for the Best Actor category. Some of the other actors who found a place in this list include Austin Butler of Elvis, Eden Dambrine of Close and Brendan Fraser of The Whale to name a few. The critic has predicted Elvis could win the award with Brendan Fraser as the runner up.

Another interesting aspect is the list for the Best Picture category. The critic felt RRR had a good chance of being the ‘runner up’ in the Best Picture category. The other films that made it to top 10 were Close, Holy Spider, Tár, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, Bones and All, Women Talking, to name a few. Other categories where RRR has found a mention were direction, screenplay, cinematography, original song, score, sound, production design, visual effects.

Interestingly, in the original song category, the critic has picked Komuram Bheemudo over Naatu Naatu. RRR, released in five languages on March 25, 2022, across the globe and was produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment. The film, written by SS Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad, also starred Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani and Olivia Morris and had music by MM Keeravaani.
