Good or bad, Ram Gopal Varma never minces words when he conveys his opinions. One was naturally curious about what the filmmaker would've had to say about SS Rajamouli's RRR, more so after the phenomenal opening it enjoyed at the theatres in its first weekend. For those interested, the verdict is finally out and Ram Gopal Varma has heaped praise on RRR, the vision of director SS Rajamouli, the storytelling and the performances of Jr NTR, Ram Charan in an audio clip he shared on Twitter.
The Satya director told that he had a wonderful time watching RRR on the big screen. The filmmaker told that he was at a loss of words while trying to describe the viewing experience. He said, “RRR is like the best stroke of an artist.” He praised the film for its content, narrative and its stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan.
“The film has such a right balance between being real and unreal. There is a human being and there is a superman kind of strength and ability. Emotions on Tarak (Jr NTR) and Charan’s faces are so human. What they do is superhuman and this blend is something I haven't ever experienced before.” Calling it an experience of a lifetime, he further added, "I find it far superior to any of the Marvel films, because it’s creating its own atmosphere. I enjoyed every frame of the movie like a child.”
Talking about the director, RGV said, “Rajamouli is wealth not just of the Telugu and Indian industry alone, he’s a wealth of the audience. He’s bound for the millions and millions of audience.” RRR, also featuring Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani, Rahul Ramakrishna, Olivia Morris, Shriya Saran, hit theatres on March 25. The film had music by MM Keeravaani, cinematography by KK Senthil Kumar and production design by Sabu Cyril. RRR amassed over Rs 500 crore in its first weekend.
