RRR mania begins tonight: 10 midnight shows confirmed in Bengaluru, Hyderabad to follow suit

Wondering when’s the earliest you can watch the much-awaited RRR on a big screen near you? Well, turns out, you can in a few hours and have to actually lose sleep over it. According to reports, RRR is opening its box-office account with as many as 10 midnight shows in Bengaluru. The reports also state that the team is in the process of finalizing just as many shows in Hyderabad as well, with permissions from relevant authorities pending at the time of filing this article. This, however, is a minor roadblock, which the team is feverishly working on rectifying. In fact, Bengaluru will also get a midnight show for the Kannada version of RRR at a single-screen in the heart of Gandhinagar.

However, the price of being among the first to watch the magnum opus is steep. Ticket prices of the midnight shows in Bengaluru range from Rs 400 and go up to Rs 800 per person. Although online booking for midnight shows in Hyderabad are yet to open, industry insiders say that a ticket will set back fans by a couple of thousands at least. As of now, the earliest available show for RRR in Hyderabad is at 6.15 am, while Bengaluru gets it at 4 am.

There is immense craze surrounding RRR in Karnataka, where the film is likely to get as many as 2,000 shows. Although there was some furore regarding the limited number of Kannada-dubbed versions of the film playing in the state, with only hours to go for the release of the film, that all appears to be water under the bridge. The sheer number of sold out shows of the film in a major centre like Bengaluru is clear indication of this.
