Neha Sshetty plays the female lead in the Rathinam Krishna-directed comedy film

Rules Ranjann, the third release this year for Kiran Abbavaram after Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha and Meter, was largely panned by critics and had a modest run in theatres upon release on October 6. DJ Tillu actress Neha Sshetty was the female lead in the entertainer written and directed by Rathinam Krishna, producer AM Rathnam’s son who earlier helmed Oxygen, Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu.
Nearly seven weeks after its release, the film was out on Telugu, Tamil streamer aha the previous weekend. While the comedy flick didn’t create much noise at the box office, the response for the film on OTT suggests that it has found its due in the digital space. Stats confirm that the film has garnered over 72 million streaming minutes on aha, surprising many film buffs.

That’s not all, a week after its digital premiere on aha, Rules Ranjann is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The strategy of releasing films on multiple OTT platforms is gaining steam in recent months and the move is likely to widen the viewer base for Kiran Abbavaram’s light-hearted entertainer. The film was produced by Divyang Lavania, Murali Krishnaa Vemuri under Star Light Entertainment.
Sammohanuda, the popular song from Rules Ranjann is one of the biggest chartbusters this season and it contributed to the film’s buzz. Amrish, veteran actress Jayachitra’s son, scored the music for the film. Dulip Kumar M S is the cinematographer and Rinkhu Kukreja is the co-producer. Aruna Sree Sukala is the costume designer.
Meher Chahal, Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, Hyper Aadhi, Viva Harsha, Annu Kapoor, Ajay, Atul Parchure, Vijay Patkar, Makarand Deshpande, Nellore Sudarshan, Goparaju Ramana, Abhimanyu Singh, Siddharth Sen are also part of Rules Ranjann. Kiran Abbavaram at the film’s promotional event suggested that he’ll be taking the slow-and-steady approach for his next project and promised to please his fans.
