Rumour has it: Katrina Kaif is FURIOUS about her ex Ranbir Kapoor's cameo in husband Vicky Kaushal's film Govinda Naam Mera

Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for his comedy thriller film Govinda Naam Mera opposite Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. Reportedly, the Shashank Khaitan directorial will have Ranbir Kapoor in a cameo appearance, which is allegedly making Katrina Kaif upset.

Vicky and Katrina married each other on December 9, 2021. Before her marriage, the diva was apparently dating Ranbir. According to a Mid-Day report, the Shamshera star is all set to appear in Govinda Naam Mera in a special cameo role.

Furthermore, the report says, "It is now learnt that Katrina Kaif is not too pleased with Ranbir Kapoor making a cameo in actor-husband Vicky Kaushal’s next, Govinda Naam Mera."

The spy comedy was earlier titled Mr Lele and had Varun Dhawan, Bhumi and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. However, the film got shelved due to Covid- 19 pandemic and was later announced with a new name and a new set cast, where Vicky replaced Varun and Janhvi was replaced by Kiara.

If reports are to be believed, Govinda Naam Mera will be the second film to feature Vicky and Ranbir together after the Rajkumar Hirani directorial Sanju, which also stars Sonam Kapoor, Manisha Koirala and Paresh Rawal in major roles.

Along with direction, Govinda Naam Mera has been written by Khaitan, which is backed by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and the director himself under the banners of Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios.

Amid working on Govinda Naam Mera, Vicky is also busy working on multiple projects including The Great Indian Family, Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki as well as two untitled films directed by Laxman Utekar and Anand Tiwari respectively.

Meanwhile, Katrina is currently filming the Sriram Raghavan-directed film Merry Christmas with Vijay Sethupathi, Tiger 3 opposite Salman Khan and Phone Bhoot alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter.
