Saif Ali Khan: 'Kareena Kapoor Khan sent Taimur with me to the hospital—she knew I needed him'

Saif Ali Khan has finally broken silence on what happened during the wee hours when he was attacked by an intruder at his house earlier this year. The actor described how events unfolded in an interview with Bombay Times and also revealed his wife and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan's state of mind.

Quiet night turns chaotic

Recalling the insider, Saif told the entertainment daily that while Kareena went out to dinner, he stayed home as he had work to do in the morning. After she returned, they talked for a while before she went to bed.

The househelp began to panic and shouted, "There's an intruder!" after some time had passed. A man brandishing a knife is demanding money in Jeh's room! The actor may have misjudged the timing, but it was already late—around 2 in the morning.

Kareena Kapoor Khan's quick thinking

Saif continued by stating that Kareena had escorted Jeh to Tim's room during this attack. "Take the kid out!" she yelled out, as far as he can recall.

Their plan was to apprehend the intruder. Kareena then firmly stated, "No, let's get out!" They need to take Saif to the hospital immediately, and they need to free Jeh from this place. Kareena had a feeling that the invader was still here, and that there may be others like him.

After that, they all made their way downstairs. A rickshaw, a taxi, or anything else was what Kareena was yelling for. Saif mentioned that he is kind of in pain, and his back isn't feeling well.

Kareena Kapoor Khan's protective instint

She told him, "You go to the hospital and I’ll go to my sister’s house." No one was answering the calls she was making in a panic. Saif said that he was fine, as we exchanged looks and he would not die.

Saif also shared that Taimur maintained complete composure and he was alright. The kid mentioned that he would accompany his dad. Moreover, Saif had a great sense of relief by gazing at him, as if something were to happen. Plus, he preferred not to travel alone.

Because Kareena knew Taimur would be there for Saif, he sent him. Perhaps it wasn't, but doing so seemed proper in that instant and it made him feel good. And the actor also considered the possibility that should the unthinkable occur, he might prefer his son's presence. Taimur also desired to be present. Saif along with his son and househelp Hari all got in the rickshaw and off they went.

Speaking about Kareena's resilience, the actor continued that she is doing extremely well due to her strong determination. She was understandably rattled and worried about issues like safety and the likelihood that this might happen again.
